Deborah is a commercial litigator with experience in complex commercial, banking, and insolvency disputes.
Deborah joined PCB Litigation in January 2017. Previously she was an Associate in the litigation department of one of New Zealand’s leading commercial law firms, acting for financial institutions, insolvency practitioners, and corporates. She has experience acting on a range of matters including claims alleging breach of contract, negligence, misrepresentation, breach of consumer protection legislation, mis-selling of derivative products, and priority disputes in relation to secured assets. She also has experience advising insolvency practitioners on their powers and duties in conducting administrations, receiverships and liquidations, and acting for both creditors and debtors in debt-recovery and enforcement proceedings.
Deborah was admitted to the bar in New Zealand in 2012 and is enrolled as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand. She has appeared as sole and junior counsel in the New Zealand District Court, High Court and Court of Appeal.
Deborah holds First Class Honours degree in Law and a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Psychology from the University of Otago.
